Karma Samarpane

Submitting our actions to the Lord

When a person humbly offers both good and bad deeds to Lord Śrī Hari, He not only keeps the fruits of the good deeds (punya) safe but also destroys the fruits of the bad deeds. Further, he also credits the person with merit that is lost by those who speak ill of His devotees.

The paryāya that inspired devotion and knowledge

As we can see every activity of the second paryāya of His Holiness Sri Vidyādhīṣa Tīrtha espouses the aspects of devotion in the divine and knowledge of the same. Hence let us dedicate these achievements in their entirety to Lord Krishna as espoused in the saying “twadīyamēva gōvinda tubhyamēva samarpayē’.

Durga Trishtup Mantra

Elaborating upon the meaning of the durgā triṣṭup mantra

This hymn which is in the triṣṭup meter which was visualized by sage kaśyapa, at first glance appears to be directed towards agni who is popularly known as jātavēdas. However, by addressing it as durgā triṣṭup, śrī madhvācārya shows us that more than agni, it is durgādēvi who is being extolled in this hymn.

Shri Krishnayana

Shri Krishnayana 8

Hence, it is imperative to meditate upon śrī kriṣṇa not as a mere mortal, but as the supreme One who is the cornucopia of the six fundamental attributes.

We consider Lord Hari as being supreme. This does not mean that we do not worship other gods. They are all superior to us, but Lord Hari is supreme amongst them all. That is it. We honor all gods in accordance with their stature.

Jiva – A part of God or different from Him?

Beings are bhinnāmsha as they have body made of five elements and thus are called jīvas (beings). They go through the cycle of life and death. The beings act only through God’s blessings. But forms like Matsya etc., do not have any deformities because they are God himself.
