Shri Lakshmi – The eternal consort of Shrihari

Anugraha : H.H. Shri Shri Vidyadheesha Teertha Sripadaru

Bhagavata means the story of Bhagavan Shri Krishna. It’s the story of the incarnations of God. All the stories of God teach us largely about His supremacy alone.

Thus, the principal character in all these stories is Shri Narayana. When Narayana is the protagonist, Mahalakshmi who has understood the heart of Narayana and who is also known as Samanaa, takes the position of leading lady.

This is a fact decided in the scriptures and has been subtly conveyed by Shri Vedavyasa by titling the work “Shrimad” Bhagavata where Shri means Lakshmi. Hence, while meditating upon any form of Vishnu, it must be done along with Lakshmi only.
