We consider Lord Hari as being supreme. This does not mean that we do not worship other gods. They are all superior to us, but Lord Hari is supreme amongst them all. That is it. We honor all gods in accordance with their stature.

Jiva – A part of God or different from Him?

Beings are bhinnāmsha as they have body made of five elements and thus are called jīvas (beings). They go through the cycle of life and death. The beings act only through God’s blessings. But forms like Matsya etc., do not have any deformities because they are God himself.

At Mathura, an army of hermits (Virāgi) who were armed with the name of the Lord (Nāmasaṅkīrtane), true Vaiṣṇavas were suppressing the demon of desires called Kali. The sanctity of the place is the protective wall that keeps rest of the evil forces away. Srī Vādirājaru gives a marvelous reflection that for this army, their past deeds are the armor.

The propounding of Indriyas in the Akshasookta

It is commonly perceived that the two verses of the aksha sookta from Rigveda (10-34-13,14) are focused on prohibiting gambling. It is only natural to come this conclusion as one can find the words aksha and kitava, the commonly used terminology for the dice and gamblers respectively.

the term eesha means supremacy, lordship or mastery is well known; each of them is a relative term and may be applicable to a person according to their respective abilities. For instance, each person exercises control or mastery over his/her organs.
